Willow Creek is a long tributary of the Escalante Arm which has three main drainages entering it from the north,
Bishops Canyon, an unnamed drainage,
and Fortymile Canyon. Bishops Canyon is accessible for at least a mile by boat, the unnamed drainage is only a shallow indentation at full pool, and Fortymile is beyond the highest levels of the lake.
Both upper Willow and Fortymile, while steep, give access to the Hole-in-the-Rock Road. Broken Bow Arch in upper Willow is a common goal, but it is necessary to hike beyond it when going upstream in order to obtain a view. Campsites are generally available in both Willow Creek and Bishops Canyon. When the lake first filled, there was a massive fleet of driftwood that moved up and down the head of Bishops Canyon, occasionally trapping an unsuspecting houseboat.
